About Sheltered Survivor

Sheltered Survivor, Minion, designed by Matt Dixon first released in Feb, 2026 in the set CATACLYSM.

Sheltered Survivor is best suited for combo or control decks that occasionally draw key pieces too early and want a way to “reset” a dead or situational card while cycling, since it effectively turns an unwanted card in hand into a fresh draw without losing overall hand size; slower decks that value hand sculpting (like certain Control Priest, Control Warrior, or combo-oriented builds) could theoretically benefit from tucking away an unplayable late-game bomb or redundant piece. However, at 2 mana for no immediate tempo impact beyond cycling, it competes with far stronger and more efficient draw/filter tools like Loot Hoarder, Novice Engineer, Tradeable cards, or class-specific options that either generate tempo, provide additional value, or offer more reliable tutoring.
