About Sickleslicer
Sickleslicer, Artifact — equipment, designed by Jason Felix first released in May, 2011 in the set New Phyrexia and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
Sickleslicer is particularly effective in a deck that focuses on aggressive strategies or synergizes with creature tokens, as it not only provides a solid boost to a creature but also creates a body upon entry, making it ideal for decks that want to quickly overwhelm opponents. It could fit well in a black-based midrange or aggro deck, especially those that utilize the living weapon mechanic or benefit from sacrificing creatures. While there are stronger equipment options like Sword of Fire and Ice or Batterskull, which offer more powerful abilities and resilience, Sickleslicer can still see play in the right context, especially in a tribal or token-focused deck where the initial Germ creature can be leveraged for further synergies.
Rules
08/07/20
If the Germ token is destroyed, the Equipment remains on the battlefield as with any other Equipment.
08/07/20
The Germ token enters the battlefield as a 0/0 creature and the Equipment becomes attached to it before state-based actions would cause the token to die. Abilities that trigger as the token enters the battlefield see that a 0/0 creature entered the battlefield.
