About Storm, Windrider
Storm, Windrider, Legendary creature — mutant hero, designed by Immanuela Crovius first released in Jun, 2026 in the set Marvel Super Heroes and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Storm, Windrider would fit best in a Selesnya (G/W) Heroic or targeted-spell synergy deck that plays lots of cheap pump, protection, and combat tricks (like Tamiyo’s Safekeeping, Snakeskin Veil, or Defiant Strike–style effects) to repeatedly trigger its flying-granting ability while pressuring in combat; it also works in go‑wide creature builds that want temporary evasion to close games. However, at 1GWW for a creature that doesn’t immediately impact the board or protect itself, it competes with stronger four‑drops like Shalai, Voice of Plenty (team protection plus scaling), Sigarda, Font of Blessings (resilient, card-advantage engine), or even Archangel of Thune at higher curves, all of which provide more consistent value or resilience. The static ability preventing opposing fliers from attacking or blocking is powerful but narrow, making it meta-dependent, and the triggered ability requires additional cards to function. Overall, it’s playable in a synergy-focused casual or mid-power
