This card would benefit a Control Priest deck aiming to remove key threats on the board while also invoking Galakrond for additional value. However, there are better removal options available in the form of Shadow Word: Death or Shadow Word: Pain, which provide more efficient removal without the requirement of invoking Galakrond. Time Rip may not see widespread play in competitive decks due to its higher cost and conditional effect compared to other removal options available to Priest.
