Dark Deacon would fit best in a spell-heavy Shadow Priest or Shadow/Control Priest deck that can reliably cast two cheap Shadow spells while keeping this card in hand, although the requirement costs you flexibility and makes the card poor in an aggressive list that wants to play threats immediately; unless it has unusually strong stats or the chosen C’Thun abilities are exceptionally powerful, cards such as Voidtouched Attendant, Shadowbomber, or other efficient Shadow Priest minions and removal are generally better because they provide immediate board impact without setup, so Dark Deacon probably should not see competitive play except in a dedicated C’Thun-themed or casual Shadow Priest deck.
