Dreamdrinker Vampire is a solid inclusion in a black aggro deck that aims to gain life and apply pressure to the opponent. Its lifelink ability provides additional survivability, while its Adapt ability allows it to grow stronger over time. The added menace when +1/+1 counters are placed on it makes it difficult for the opponent to block effectively. However, in competitive play, there may be more efficient options such as Vampire Nighthawk, which offers flying and deathtouch in addition to lifelink, making it a stronger choice overall unless there is a specific synergy that Dreamdrinker Vampire can uniquely take advantage of.
