About Haunt
Haunt, Spell, designed by Jakub Kasper first released in August 2026 in the set Escape from Violet Hold.
Haunt would mainly benefit a board-focused Deathrattle, Reborn, or slower midrange Priest deck that wants one durable minion to trade repeatedly while gaining Taunt protection, but it is probably too narrow for competitive play because it requires a minion already in play, provides no card draw, and spends three mana on a defensive buff. If you primarily want stronger stats and value, `Power Word: Fortitude` is generally better because it offers a larger buff and card draw; if you mainly want Deathrattle or Reborn synergy, `Shallow Grave` is usually more efficient and flexible, while `Undying Allies` can provide Reborn to multiple minions. Haunt could be enjoyable in a dedicated sticky-minion or Taunt Priest list, but unless the metagame strongly rewards durable defensive minions, it should not see serious ladder play.
