Ley Walker would fit best in a dedicated Leyline‑synergy Mage deck that runs multiple Leyline cards and wants to chain them cheaply over the course of the game, since its Battlecry provides a permanent cost reduction and its Deathrattle replaces itself with another Leyline, supporting value and combo potential; this makes it particularly appealing in slower combo or value‑oriented Mage builds rather than aggressive lists. However, whether it’s competitive depends heavily on how strong Leylines are in the current meta—if they are niche or slow, Ley Walker likely won’t justify a 3‑mana slot, especially compared to more universally powerful Mage 3‑drops like Arcane Intellect (for consistent draw), Frostweave Dungeoneer, or solid tempo minions that immediately impact the board.
