About Drest'agath
Drest'agath, Minion, designed by Tee Fuyuan first released in September 2026 in the set Reign of the Black Empire.
Drest'agath fits a slow, value-oriented Rogue deck built around a single powerful Old God payoff, especially a C'Thun or Yogg-Saron list that can afford a 4-mana Deathrattle and wants redundancy in finding its finisher; it is much less appealing in Tempo, Miracle, or aggressive Rogue, where a delayed tutor and likely understatted minion cost too much board pressure. Its fallback makes it never completely dead, but a random Old God is often too slow or mismatched for the deck, so the card is best when it reliably draws a deliberately included target. Taelan Fordring is generally the better choice for tutoring one expensive Old God if that Old God is your deck's highest-Cost minion, because Taelan draws it deterministically and brings Taunt, while Drest'agath is preferable only when you need the lower mana cost, Rogue Deathrattle synergies, or a backup random generation effect. It could see niche play in a dedicated Old God control/combo Rogue, but it is unlikely to be a broadly competit
