Frostbitten Imp, Minion - demon, designed by Matt Dixon first released in Feb, 2026 in the set CATACLYSM.
Frostbitten Imp is a 2‑mana Neutral Demon with **Battlecry: Freeze this**, meaning it immediately locks itself for a turn, so the only decks that would even consider it are ones that actively benefit from self‑Freezing or from having a cheap Demon body on board (for example, Demon-synergy decks like certain Demon Hunter or Warlock builds that care more about tribe tags than tempo). However, because it effectively cannot attack the turn after you play it, it is a significant tempo loss in aggressive decks, and slower control decks have far more impactful 2‑drops. In Demon Hunter specifically, cards like **Battlefiend**, **Bibliomite**, or **Vicious Slitherspear** provide immediate pressure, while Warlock has stronger Demon options such as **Flame Imp** or synergy tools that don’t freeze themselves. Unless there is a very specific synergy that rewards a minion being Frozen, Frostbitten Imp is generally outclassed and unlikely to see competitive play.
