About Illusionary Forces

Illusionary Forces, Creature — illusion, designed by Justin Hampton first released in Jun, 1995 in the set Ice Age and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

This Illusionary Forces card could be beneficial in a control deck that focuses on stalling the game and outlasting opponents. Its flying ability provides evasion, and the cumulative upkeep cost can be managed with proper resource planning. However, there are more efficient options available in the current Magic: The Gathering card pool, such as Aetherling or Meloku the Clouded Mirror, which offer more versatile abilities and impact on the game. Illusionary Forces may not see much play in competitive decks due to its high cost and upkeep requirement compared to other options.

Rules

10/01/08

Paying cumulative upkeep is always optional. If it’s not paid, the permanent with cumulative upkeep is sacrificed. Partial payments of the total cumulative upkeep cost can’t be made. For example, if a permanent with “cumulative upkeep ” has three age counters on it when its cumulative upkeep ability triggers, it gets another age counter and then its controller chooses to either pay or sacrifice the permanent.
