A deck focused on a +1/+1 counter strategy, such as a Green/White or Green/Black counters deck, would benefit from including Ironscale Hydra. It could serve as a resilient threat that grows stronger with each attempted attack against it. However, there may be better options for this type of strategy, such as Verdurous Gearhulk, which offers more immediate value and flexibility in distributing counters. Ironscale Hydra could still see play in a deck looking for a specific type of protection and counter synergy, but it may not be a top-tier choice in a competitive setting.
