About Lunk Errant
Lunk Errant, Creature — giant warrior, designed by Warren Mahy first released in Feb, 2008 in the set Morningtide.
Lunk Errant would fit well in an aggressive red deck focused on attacking quickly and dealing damage, as its ability to pump up and gain trample when attacking alone can be a powerful threat. However, there are better options for a 5-mana creature in red decks, such as Glorybringer, which has a more impactful immediate effect with its exert ability and can remove a creature upon attacking. Lunk Errant may not see much play in competitive decks due to the availability of stronger options, but could still be a fun and flavorful inclusion in casual or themed decks.
Rules
04/01/08
Lunk Errant “attacks alone” if it’s the only creature declared as an attacker as the declare attackers step begins. The ability won’t trigger if Lunk Errant and some other creatures are declared as attackers, then those other creatures leave the battlefield or are otherwise removed from combat. The ability also won’t trigger if Lunk Errant is put onto the battlefield attacking, even if no other creatures are attacking at that time.
