About Mug'Zee

Mug'Zee, Minion, designed by Ivan Fomin first released in Jun, 2026 in the set Escape from Violet Hold.

Mug’Zee would fit best in a highly polarized Shaman deck that deliberately runs either an all‑spell package (no minions) or an all‑minion package (no spells) to guarantee one of the upgraded Hero Powers at the start of the game, making it most appealing in a dedicated Spell Shaman shell since Shaman has historically had strong spell synergies (burn, nature, overload, spell damage, etc.) and can afford to skip minions more easily than skipping spells; however, the deckbuilding restriction is extremely steep and inconsistent compared to existing payoff cards like Genn Greymane, Baku the Mooneater, or even Reno-style build-arounds, which offer guaranteed and often stronger Hero Power upgrades with clearer archetype support and without forcing you to cut an entire card type, so unless Mug’s or Zee’s Hero Power is game‑breaking in power level, this card would likely be too restrictive for competitive play and would only see niche or experimental use rather than becoming a meta staple.
