About Knight of the Dead

Knight of the Dead, Minion - undead, designed by Paul Mafayon first released in Feb, 2023 in the set March of the Lich King.

This card could be beneficial in a control-oriented Paladin deck that focuses on healing and sustaining through the early game. It could potentially work well in a deck that utilizes healing synergies and aims to outlast the opponent. However, the drawback of dealing 5 damage to your hero upon playing it may limit its effectiveness in aggressive or tempo-based decks. In comparison to other healing cards available in Hearthstone, Knight of the Dead's effect seems somewhat situational and risky, as there are more efficient healing options such as Truesilver Champion or Lightforged Blessing that provide healing without the initial drawback of damaging your hero. Overall, while Knight of the Dead may have niche uses in specific deck archetypes, it may not be a top choice for competitive play due to its inherent risk-reward mechanic.
