About Spire of Solitude

Spire of Solitude, Location, designed by BOSi Studio first released in Jun, 2026 in the set Escape from Violet Hold.

Spire of Solitude would fit best in a Handlock-style Warlock deck that naturally maintains a large hand size through Life Tap and efficient draw, allowing it to summon a sizable Demon (often 6/6–9/9 or larger) for 5 mana while also immediately impacting the board by forcing an attack; it synergizes especially well with control-oriented or value-focused Warlock builds that float cards and don’t empty their hand quickly. However, compared to consistently powerful 5-cost options like Sludge on Wheels, Symphony of Sins, or even classic threats such as Abyssal Summoner (which guarantees strong stats and Taunt), Spire of Solitude is somewhat unreliable because the random attack can hit an unfavorable target and it requires hand-size setup to be premium. While it could see niche play in slower Handlock or Renathal-style control lists that regularly maintain 7+ cards, it would likely be meta-dependent and not an auto-include unless Warlock has strong hand-sustain and lacks better proactive 5-d
