About Reload
Reload, Spell, designed by Timur Shevtsov first released in September 2026 in the set Reign of the Black Empire.
Reload would mainly benefit a slow, spell-heavy or combo-oriented Hunter deck that can afford to spend turn eight generating discounted resources, especially one built around expensive payoff spells and repeated spell casting; it is a poor fit for aggro, midrange, or Beast Hunter because it provides no immediate board impact. The excess reduction can create several cheap or free Discover spells, but the card is inconsistent and extremely vulnerable to being punished for passing an entire turn, so immediate-impact options such as Aggramar, the Avenger, Reno, Lone Ranger in a Highlander deck, or cheaper card-generation tools are generally better. Unless the metagame strongly supports a dedicated spell-combo Hunter and the deck has reliable late-game stabilization, Reload should probably not see regular play.
