About Soothsayer

Soothsayer, Minion, designed by Stefano Spagnuolo first released in Jun, 2026 in the set Escape from Violet Hold.

Soothsayer, as a 7‑mana Priest minion with Taunt, a 6‑Health Deathrattle heal, and a random 6‑Cost summon, would fit best in slower Control or midrange Priest decks that want to stall, stabilize, and generate value—especially ones that can trigger Deathrattles reliably (e.g., with effects like Reborn-style synergy, copy, or Deathrattle activators). However, at 7 mana, it’s likely too slow and inconsistent for most competitive lists, since the random 6‑Cost minion can high‑roll but can also be underwhelming, and modern Priest decks usually prefer more reliable stabilization tools (like efficient board clears or large immediate swing cards). Compared to strong Priest staples such as Soul Mirror (for board control), Blackwater Behemoth (for sustain and pressure), or even cheaper defensive Taunts with immediate impact, Soothsayer seems clunky and reactive, so while it could be playable in a value‑oriented Control Priest in slower metas, it likely wouldn’t see consistent competitive play un
