About Air Support
Air Support, Minion, designed by James Ryman first released in Mar, 2026 in the set CATACLYSM.
Air Support would fit best in a board-centric Shaman deck that relies on sticking a high-attack minion and leveraging burst damage through repeated trades, such as a Midrange or Totem-based Shaman that can consistently maintain minion presence. Since Mega-Windfury allows a minion to attack four times but restricts it from hitting heroes, the card is strongest in value-trading strategies where repeatedly clearing enemy minions generates overwhelming board control rather than direct face damage. However, at 5 mana, it competes with far more impactful Shaman cards like Bloodlust (which can immediately threaten lethal across a wide board), Doomhammer (for consistent damage output), or direct buffs like Rockbiter Weapon that enable burst without the hero restriction, making Air Support comparatively slow and situational. Because it requires a strong surviving minion and does not help close games directly, it would likely struggle to see competitive play unless the meta heavily rewards repea
