The Gruul card would be beneficial in a control deck that focuses on surviving the early game and gradually building up powerful minions. However, there are better late-game options available such as Ysera or Ragnaros the Firelord, which provide immediate impact on the board. While Gruul could potentially see play in a slower, value-oriented deck, it may struggle to compete with more impactful late-game threats in the current meta.
