About Soul Immolation
Soul Immolation, Spell, designed by Alex Stone first released in August 2026 in the set Event.
Soul Immolation would mainly benefit a slower, hero-power-focused Demon Hunter deck that can afford to spend three mana developing no immediate board presence and intends to win through repeated uses of Collapsing Star, especially if the Hero Power deals reliable damage or has scaling synergies; it is a poor fit for aggressive Demon Hunter, where three mana without damage, a minion, or a weapon is too much tempo loss. Unless Collapsing Star is exceptionally powerful and the deck can activate Soul Immolation multiple times, more immediate cards such as weapon support, efficient removal, card draw, or proactive minions are generally better because they affect the board immediately and improve consistency. The “increase its damage by 1” clause makes a second copy potentially strong in a long game, but the first copy is still a slow setup card, so Soul Immolation should not see competitive play unless the Hero Power itself is substantially stronger than Demon Hunter’s normal power or the f
