Temporal Aperture, Artifact, designed by Michael Sutfin first released in May, 2020 in the set Urza's Saga and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
A deck that relies on powerful, high-cost spells or combos would benefit from Temporal Aperture, as it allows for free casting of top-decked cards. However, there are better cards with similar effects, such as Sensei's Divining Top, which provides consistent card selection without the need to shuffle the library. While Temporal Aperture could see play in a specific deck archetype, it may not be the most optimal choice compared to other options available.

The card is removed from the top of the library when you play it, just like a card is removed from your hand when you play it.

While you do not have to pay the mana cost, you do have to pay any other costs described in the text that are paid when playing the card. If the cost in the card text is optional, such as with Buyback, you can optionally pay that cost.
