Cold Storage, Artifact, designed by Greg Simanson first released in Oct, 1997 in the set Tempest and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
This card, Cold Storage, could be beneficial in a control deck that focuses on protecting key creatures by temporarily exiling them from the battlefield and then bringing them back when needed. However, there are better options available such as cards like Teferi, Time Raveler or Flickerwisp that offer similar effects with additional benefits. Cold Storage may not see much play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks due to its high cost and limited utility compared to other cards with similar abilities.

For a time, the second ability returned all cards exiled by it to the battlefield, regardless of what types they had while exiled. It has been restored to its original functionality, so only cards that actually have the type Creature will get returned.

If this card leaves the battlefield, the cards it exiled remain exiled.
