This card could be beneficial in a midrange or control Hunter deck that focuses on board control and stalling the opponent's aggression. While Barrel of Monkeys provides a decent defensive option with the Taunt minions it summons, there are likely better cards available for Hunter decks that offer more impactful board presence or removal options, such as Savannah Highmane or Unleash the Hounds. Overall, Barrel of Monkeys may not see much play in competitive decks due to its relatively low impact compared to other available options.
