This card, Novice Zapper, would be beneficial in a spell-heavy Shaman deck looking to boost its spell damage. However, there are better options like Azure Drake or Bloodmage Thalnos which provide additional effects along with spell damage, making Novice Zapper less optimal for competitive play. It could be fun to experiment with in a casual deck, but in a more serious setting, other cards would likely be more effective.
