Fidèle compagnon, Créature : hyène, conçu par Jakub Kasper sorti pour la première fois en Sep, 2016 dans l'édition Kaladesh.

Trusty Companion s'intégrerait bien dans un deck blanc ou aggro dans Magic: the Gathering, où il peut assurer une présence précoce sur le tableau et une défense avec vigilance. Cependant, sa restriction de ne pas pouvoir attaquer seul limite son utilité dans certaines situations. De meilleures cartes comme Adanto Vanguard ou Dauntless Bodyguard offrent plus de flexibilité et d'utilité dans les stratégies agressives, ce qui rend Trusty Companion moins susceptible d'être joué dans des decks compétitifs.

Although Trusty Companion can’t attack alone, other attacking creatures don’t have to attack the same player or planeswalker. For example, Trusty Companion could attack an opponent and another creature could attack a planeswalker that opponent controls.

In a Two-Headed Giant game, Trusty Companion can attack along with a creature controlled by your teammate, even if no other creatures you control attack.

Trusty Companion can be declared as an attacker only if another creature is declared as an attacker at the same time. Once it’s attacking, removing the other creature won’t cause Trusty Companion to stop attacking.
