Questa carta, Prova dei Jormungar, sarebbe utile per un mazzo cacciatore midrange o aggro che si concentra sulla presenza precoce in tavola con bestie a basso costo. Mentre può fornire valore evocando copie di due bestie, potrebbe non essere altrettanto efficiente come altre carte come Ingenuità dello Scavenger, che pesca una bestia e le dà +3/+3, o Sciogli i cani per il controllo del tavolo. Tuttavia, in un mazzo appositamente progettato per massimizzarne l'effetto, la Prova dei Jormungar potrebbe essere giocata come carta situazionale per generare minacce aggiuntive sul tavolo.
