Questa carta sarebbe utile in un mazzo che si concentra sull'estrazione di più carte ogni turno, come un mazzo spellslinger blu/rosso o un mazzo di controllo nero/blu. Mentre Mad Ratter può generare valore con i suoi token di ratto, ci sono potenzialmente carte migliori come Chasm Skulker o Psychosis Crawler che forniscono effetti più impattanti quando si estraggono carte. Tuttavia, Mad Ratter potrebbe comunque essere giocato in un mazzo che cerca di espandersi con creature token e sfruttare le sinergie dell'estrazione di carte.

If a spell or ability causes you to put cards into your hand without specifically using the word “draw,” it’s not a card drawn.

The triggered ability can trigger only once each turn. It doesn’t matter whether the permanent with that ability was on the battlefield when the first card was drawn. If it’s not on the battlefield when the second card is drawn, the ability can’t trigger at all that turn. It won’t trigger when the third or fourth card is drawn.
