Over Ancient Mage
The Ancient Mage card could benefit a spell-heavy deck that relies on dealing spell damage. However, there are better options like Dalaran Mage or Azure Drake that provide similar effects with additional benefits such as higher stats or card draw. While Ancient Mage could see situational play in specific decks, it may not be a top choice compared to other options available in Hearthstone.
