Lull zou nuttig zijn in een controledeck dat zich richt op het vertragen van het spel en het voorkomen van gevechtsschade. Hoewel het in bepaalde situaties nuttig kan zijn, zijn er betere opties beschikbaar, zoals Mist of Heilige Dag, die vergelijkbare effecten bieden tegen lagere kosten. Lull ziet misschien niet veel spel in competitieve decks vanwege de manakosten en de beperkte impact in vergelijking met andere kaarten met vergelijkbare effecten.
