Een kaartspel gericht op +1/+1 counters of andere soorten counters zou baat hebben bij het gebruik van Nesting Grounds in Magic: the Gathering. Hoewel Nesting Grounds flexibiliteit biedt bij het verplaatsen van tellers, is het misschien niet zo efficiënt als andere kaarten zoals Arcane Signet of Arcane Denial, die meer directe waarde bieden. Over het geheel genomen zou Nesting Grounds kunnen worden gebruikt in specifieke tegengerichte strategieën, maar het is mogelijk geen hoofdbestanddeel van de meeste decks.
