Paleomancy zou goed passen in een control- of combodeck dat zich richt op het oproepen en gebruiken van ondode handlangers. Decks met een solide kern van ondode handlangers en die regelmatig lijken genereren, zoals een Deathrattle- of Resurrect-deck, zouden het meest profiteren van Paleomancy. Gezien de hoge kosten en het relatief trage effect kunnen andere kaarten zoals Kel'Thuzad of N'Zoth, the Corruptor echter een directere impact en waarde bieden, waardoor Paleomancy in veel situaties mogelijk wordt overschaduwd.
