Plague Beetle, Creature — insect, designed by Tom Fleming first released in Feb, 1999 in the set Urza's Legacy and was printed exactly in 11 different ways.
Plague Beetle would be a great addition to a black aggro deck that focuses on swamp synergy, as it can easily bypass blockers if the opponent controls a Swamp. However, there are better options like Carnophage or Vampire Lacerator that offer more aggressive stats and abilities for the same mana cost, making them more viable choices for competitive play. Plague Beetle could still see play in a casual deck or a theme deck centered around swampwalk mechanics.
