Water Elemental, Creature — elemental, designed by Jeff A. Menges first released in Aug, 1993 in the set Limited Edition Alpha and was printed exactly in 14 different ways.
This Water Elemental card would be beneficial in a control deck that aims to stall the game and control the board with powerful creatures. However, there are better options available in the current Magic: The Gathering card pool, such as Frost Titan or Consecrated Sphinx, which offer more impactful abilities and effects for a similar mana cost. Therefore, unless there is a specific synergy or theme that requires the use of Water Elemental, it may not see much play in competitive decks.
