Um deck que se concentra em atrapalhar as estratégias do oponente e vencer através do dano de combate se beneficiaria com o uso do Sudden Spoiling. Pode ser particularmente eficaz contra decks que dependem muito de habilidades de criaturas ou truques de combate. Embora possa haver outras cartas que oferecem efeitos semelhantes, a habilidade de fração de segundo do Sudden Spoiling torna-o único e difícil para os oponentes responderem. Ele pode ser jogado em sideboards ou como one-of em certos metagames onde seu efeito é particularmente impactante.
