Encroaching Insanity could be beneficial in a control Warlock deck that aims to outlast opponents by leveraging their own fatigue damage against them. However, the card's high cost and potential to harm the player using it may make it less favorable compared to other fatigue-inducing cards like Coldlight Oracle or Dead Man's Hand, which provide similar effects without the drawback of self-damage.
