About Otepec Huntmaster
Otepec Huntmaster, Creature — human shaman, designed by Daarken first released in May, 2020 in the set Ixalan and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander.
This card would be beneficial in a Dinosaur tribal deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it reduces the cost of casting Dinosaur spells and provides haste to them. However, there are better cards available for Dinosaur tribal decks, such as Regisaur Alpha, which not only grants haste but also creates a 3/3 Dinosaur token. Otepec Huntmaster could still see play in a budget or casual Dinosaur deck, but for a more competitive deck, other options may be more optimal.
Rules
09/29/17
To determine the total cost of a Dinosaur spell, start with the mana cost or alternative cost you’re paying, add any cost increases, then apply any cost reductions. The converted mana cost of the creature remains unchanged, no matter what the total cost to cast it was.
