About Shadow Dance
Shadow Dance, Spell, designed by Juan Calle first released in September 2026 in the set Reign of the Black Empire.
Shadow Dance would mainly benefit a tempo or combo-focused Rogue deck that wants a free spell to activate Combo, trigger spell-synergy effects, pop Divine Shields, and lightly chip an opposing board and hero without spending Mana; however, its restriction to undamaged enemies makes it poor as actual removal and often ineffective after any trading has happened. Fan of Knives is generally the better board-control card because it damages all enemy minions regardless of health and draws a card, while cards such as Backstab are better for efficiently removing a specific early minion. Shadow Dance could see niche play if Rogue has powerful “after you cast a spell” or Combo payoffs, but on its own it is too low-impact for most competitive decks.
