This card, Energy Shaper, would be beneficial in a control-oriented Mage deck that focuses on late-game spells and has the ability to generate additional resources. While it can potentially provide a significant power spike by transforming spells into higher-cost ones, its effectiveness may be limited by the randomness of the transformed spells. Other cards like Archmage Antonidas or Mana Cyclone may offer more consistent value and synergy in Mage decks, but Energy Shaper could still see play in certain deck archetypes that can capitalize on its unique effect.
