This card, Academic Espionage, would greatly benefit a rogue mill deck that aims to fatigue the opponent by filling their deck with useless cards. While this card can be powerful in disrupting the opponent's strategy, there are better cards for rogue decks such as Preparation or Sap that provide more immediate value. Academic Espionage could see play in specific mill rogue decks but may not be a staple due to its situational nature and high cost.
