However, it is generally underpowered compared to more efficient and specialized options: **Thoughtseize** and **Inquisition of Kozilek** are far stronger discard spells (hitting any nonland card, not just permanents, and at one mana), while **Fatal Push**, **Cut Down**, or **Disfigure** are more efficient and reliable removal spells.
