Befuddled Summoner fits a slow, board-control Priest deck that expects opponents to develop one large minion: it can turn that minion's stats against itself while potentially leaving you with a copy, and it is especially appealing if your deck can protect the Summoner until the end of the turn or exploit the copied minion afterward. However, it is unreliable against wide boards because the target is random, does nothing on an empty opposing board, and is slow compared with immediate removal; cards such as `Shadow Word: Ruin` for large boards or `Shadow Word: Death`-style hard removal for a single big threat are generally more dependable where available. It is likely an acceptable Arena/control-deck filler rather than a constructed staple, and should only see play if the format lacks more consistent Priest removal or if the metagame is dominated by isolated, high-stat enemy minions.
