Carbonize would be a strong addition to a red aggressive deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it provides efficient removal and can prevent regeneration of creatures. While it is a solid choice for decks looking to deal direct damage and eliminate threats, there are potentially better options like Lightning Bolt or Lightning Helix that offer more versatility or additional benefits. However, Carbonize could still see play in certain metagames or sideboard situations where its specific abilities are particularly valuable.

The targeted creature can’t be regenerated and is exiled if it would die no matter why it would die this turn. It doesn’t have to be destroyed because of the damage Carbonize deals to it.
