A red control or midrange deck that focuses on board control and removal would benefit from including Chain Reaction in its strategy, as it can serve as a powerful board wipe against decks with many creatures. While Chain Reaction is a strong card in the right situation, there are better options available such as Blasphemous Act, which can deal 13 damage to each creature for just 1 R mana if the conditions are right. However, Chain Reaction can still see play as a budget alternative or as additional redundancy in a deck looking to maximize its board wipe potential.
