While Devout Pupil can be a strong defensive option with Divine Shield and Taunt, there are potentially better cards with similar effects like Shielded Minibot or Psych-o-Tron that may see more play due to their lower cost and immediate impact on the board. However, in the right deck, Devout Pupil could still be a solid inclusion for its defensive capabilities and potential cost reduction.
