Eclipsed Elf would fit best in a Golgari (black-green) Elf tribal or midrange deck that values creature-based card selection and mana consistency, especially one that wants to hit land drops (Swamp/Forest) while maintaining tribal density. Its hybrid B/G cost makes it flexible in either heavy-black, heavy-green, or true Golgari builds, and the “look at four” effect helps smooth draws in grindy games. However, in most competitive formats there are stronger options: **Elvish Visionary** provides guaranteed card draw at a cheaper cost, **Leaf-Crowned Visionary** offers repeatable card advantage in Elf decks, **Realmwalker** provides ongoing card selection, and **Collected Company** or **Chord of Calling** offer more powerful creature access at instant speed. Even **Sylvan Messenger** digs deeper specifically for Elves.
