Fate Weaver fits best in midrange or control Riftbound decks that rely on high-impact, high-cost spells (4+ Energy) as win conditions or swing turns, since it effectively filters the top four cards to dig for a key late-game spell while cycling the rest to improve draw quality; this makes it strongest in spell-centric builds rather than unit-heavy or aggressive lists. It’s particularly valuable in decks running multiple powerful 4–7 Energy spells where consistency matters more than tempo, but in faster metas a 5-cost unit that doesn’t immediately affect the board can be too slow. If the format includes cheaper, more efficient spell tutors, raw draw engines, or units that both generate value and stabilize the board (such as a 4-cost draw-2 engine or a unit that tutors any spell regardless of cost), those would generally be better due to lower tempo loss or broader flexibility. Overall, Fate Weaver should see play in slower, spell-focused archetypes that can afford the 5-cost investment,
