However, there are better options available such as Urza's Tower or Gaea's Cradle which offer more immediate and powerful mana generation capabilities, making Icatian Store less likely to see play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks.

Counters are not lost if the land is changed to another land type. They wait around for the land to change back.
