This Jack-o'-Lantern card would be beneficial in a graveyard-focused deck that aims to control the opponent's graveyard while also generating mana of any color. However, there are better cards such as Tormod's Crypt or Relic of Progenitus that offer more efficient graveyard hate options. While Jack-o'-Lantern has some utility, it may not see much play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks due to the availability of stronger graveyard hate cards.
