This Rakdos Cackler card would be a great fit for an aggressive red-black aggro deck looking to apply early pressure on the opponent. While it may have the drawback of not being able to block with a +1/+1 counter on it, the potential to have a 2/2 creature for just one mana is very efficient for attacking. However, there are potentially better options like Goblin Guide or Monastery Swiftspear that offer more versatility and consistent damage output, so Rakdos Cackler might not see as much play in competitive decks.

You make the choice to have the creature with unleash enter the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter or not as it’s entering the battlefield. At that point, it’s too late for a player to respond to the creature spell by trying to counter it, for example.
